Very buggy

Crashes so frequently to be useless, which is a shame as the learning concept is good. If the crashing was fixed there are many small quirks that also need to be fixed but they arent worth mentioning until the app runs reliably.

Cheating!

I bought this application a couple of years ago. Paid arms and a leg for the full version. After a while, the application has changed requiring paying again for the full version. Finally it collapsed. No money, no product. Trying to reach the developer/distributor to fix the problem or reimburse. In vain. Cheating

Ditto what the last reviewer said. This can only be used to BUY the lessons for .99 per month. Deleted.

Exactly what I needed to improve my fluency

I would say Im an intermediate Spanish speaker. Its very hard to find material at my level, everything is targeted toward beginners. This is just sentences with translations, exactly what I need at my level to practice grammar and learn new vocab. Sure you have to pay for it, but it isnt that expensive! Ive been using this everyday for a few weeks and it has been incredibly helpful. The UI could use some work, being able to mark sentences to review later and to swipe continuously between sentences would be great. All

Superb learning program for intermediate/advanced.

Through the years I have noticed a trend among English native speakers particularly. After one or two years of study, they are often able to make a good mark on a test, but they are not able to engage in lasting or meaningful conversation. The beauty of this program is it introduces a wide range of topics with 7-8 new sentences each day which are relevant to everyday conversation and communication. And after all, is it this not the goal of learning a language, to be able to engage in everyday conversation and communication? Not only does the program introduce new and useful vocabulary, but it reinforces the grammar you have already learned, and introduces new grammar as well. You see both the grammar and vocabulary in meaningful contexts, which is really the only way you can truly learn a language. This is the kind of material which is lacking in most textbooks. This program is meant to be done over one year, because in most cases, language is acquired slowly and systematically, not through cramming vocabulary/grammar and rushed learning. A few reviewers commented that this app is just an advertisement. I could not disagree more. It costs a mere $5 for 6 months of lessons. Any serious language learner knows that learning a language is an investment, and for the smallest of prices you can get one year of language learning gold. My guess is that the people who made these remarks are not serious language learners at all. I can guarantee you any dedicated language learners jaw would drop when seeing the great content and quality of this program and the cheap price at which it is offered. To all experienced language learners: Sample the app (its free) and you will see I am correct. You wont be disappointed!

What Happened???!!!

I did the recent update and now my text is all weird. Al in black and white with really tiny letters. Please fix!!!

New Update Problems

I love this app. I downloaded the new update and now all of the sentences in both English and Español are written in code and are unreadable. Please fix this asap! It worked perfectly before the update!

Great, cheap program

Yes, you have to buy it, but its pretty cheap and its a great Segway from intermediate to being able to actually form conversational sentences.

Bugs Not Fixed

Great approach, however it will not stop locking up! I was looking forward to working with daily lessons and more advanced, but locks up my iPad every time.

Best Spanish app!!

I have studied Spanish for years. I taught HS Spanish 1 and 2. This app is exactly what I need to learn those random phrases that help you become more fluent, but dont necessarily learn in school. Awesome!!!

Top-notch content

Im quite fluent in Spanish, and this ap is perfect for taking me to the next level. It presents sentences in a story-like format in English for you to attempt to translate, and then you can toggle to see it in Spanish. There are about 6-7 sentences per day and they are loaded with colloquialisms and idiomatic expressions (phrases that dont translate directly word-for-word). Im so happy I found a Spanish ap that is advanced enough for me. It is a little buggy but the developer had been extremely responsive and I know he is working with additional tech support to get things perfect. I highly recommend this ap for advanced speakers of Spanish!

Cant even use

Every menu crashes the app. Its not even useable.

Unusable

App doesnt work at all. Every menu selection crashes it.

Crashes!

Looks like an interesting concept but crashes constantly

Very Happy - use with Google Translate to hear and practice pronunciation

Everything just as described. Very satisfied. If you also want to hear some of the sentences pronounced, you can cut in paste into the free Google Translate app. When I have time, I do this and am happy to also be able to test my own pronunciation and to check the accuracy of variations I create - with a different verb tense or changing from second person to first person, for example. ¡Buena suerte!

English could be better constructed

I like this app a lot BUT it is very frustrating for advanced speakers (like me) because the way they construct the English is not helpful to come up with the Spanish translation. In just about every sentence there is a way to express the English that would be closer to the Spanish translation. They rarely try to make it easier to memorize the Spanish sentences. This is not a question of the best way to say something. The result is that one needs to somehow memorize the whole Spanish equivalent without enough real clues to how they decide to express the English. Having said that I am still working my way through it since I am learning many new ways of expressing things and many new words that are useful.
